Independent Film Production
This production management system was built for an independent producer after a series of conversations about the challenges of managing projects, shooting schedules, deadlines, team communication, production assets, and day-to-day operations.
Every part of the system was designed around his specific workflow. Rather than using a generic template, I listened carefully, documented requirements, and built features based on the way his team actually worked.
Throughout development, we continuously refined the system by improving layouts, adjusting workflows, adding new functionality, and removing anything that created unnecessary complexity. The goal was to create software that remained useful as the business evolved.
The project was developed over approximately three months. Building a long-term business system requires planning, collaboration, testing, and patience to ensure the final result supports real-world operations.
Today, the system allows the team to manage shooting schedules, track production assets and props, organize project information, monitor deadlines, and collaborate from a single workspace. User permissions ensure that each team member only has access to the information relevant to their role.
While this system was originally built for a production company, the same approach can be applied to virtually any industry. Every system I build is fully customizable and designed around the unique needs of the business using it.
Styling & Fittings
I started this project after being introduced to a stylist through a mutual friend. We scheduled a call to discuss her workflow, the challenges she faced every day, and the parts of her business that felt disorganized or time-consuming.
By the end of that conversation, we were both laughing because what had been causing constant frustration was surprisingly straightforward once we broke it down. From there, I spent the next two months designing a system built specifically around the way she worked.
The result was a centralized workspace with a dashboard for key information, a complete CRM, communication tools, and dedicated areas for different parts of the business. Team members could access only the information relevant to their responsibilities, making collaboration much simpler and more organized.
The biggest lesson from this project was that no two businesses operate exactly the same way. That's why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all templates. I prefer learning how a business works first and then building a system around its real processes.
